Born in Venezuela, Pastor José Sánchez emigrated to Canada with his family at the age of 13 and embraced the joys and challenges of that transition, with the belief that God was leading and directing their paths.
His experience at CUC would lead him to cross paths with the lovely Angelica Cornejo who would become his future wife. Angelica Sánchez is an Elementary School Teacher in the Adventist school system, and partners with her husband in various ministries, which include music, children, youth, health and wellness, and community evangelism.
Pastor Sánchez describes himself as desiring to be a man of integrity who challenges people to take one step closer to Jesus Christ by and aims to lead by precept and example. His vision for The Kendalwood Seventh-day Adventist Church is that by the grace of God, they will be a body who unleashes and activates the full potential that God desires of them as they minister to people’s needs and create disciples by serving, loving and exemplifying the manifested beauty of what is looks like to be a follower and a lover of Jesus Christ.
Pastor José Sánchez sees Kendalwood as a special and progressive church which serves its community and is a house of worship where individual and collective growth occurs, and all are invited to share in this community of faith and love!
